Welcome to Exotic Cushions

I started Exotic Cushions 15 years ago from a beachside home in Australia. I then met my exuberant future husband who whisked me away to an idyllic village in Norfolk, England where my cushions have been created ever since.

My background in art, design and fashion lead me into the world of fabrics. I love working with bright colours in unusual combinations and textures. My cushions are tactile, luxurious, and playful. Inspiration comes from a love of the interior and the domestic, (think harem or bordello as opposed to Formica).
I use the finest materials - frequently incorporating vintage fabrics, silk, velvet, Mother-of-pearl buttons, rich trims and braids.
My cushions are usually one of a kind but sometimes come in pairs. Occasionally I will make a series that may be inspired by a circus, or perhaps a marine or nautical theme.
